Privacy Policy

Embassy of God Ministries (“EOGM”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the EOGM church app available at https://app.eogm.org and on Google Play and the Apple App Store (collectively, the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the App. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide directly
- Account information: your full name, email address, and password when you register.
- Profile information: optional profile photo and branch affiliation.
- Payment information: when you subscribe, you are redirected to Pesapal, our third-party payment processor. We do not store your card or mobile money details. Pesapal returns a transaction reference and status to our servers.
- Messages and content: text messages you send in group chats or direct messages, and any files or images you share within the App.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: device type, operating system, browser or app version, pages visited, and features used.
- Push notification tokens: a device token issued by Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android) or Apple Push Notification service (iOS) to deliver notifications to your device.
- Log data: IP address, timestamps, and error reports generated when you use the App.
1.3 Voice call data
When you join a voice call in a group chat, your audio is transmitted in real time through Agora, our voice infrastructure provider. We do not record or store voice call audio. Agora may process transient network data necessary to route the call; please review Agora's privacy policy at agora.io/en/privacy-policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To provide access to subscribed content (VOG devotionals, voice calls) based on your active subscription status.
- To process subscription payments through Pesapal and verify transaction status.
- To deliver push notifications about new content, messages, and church announcements.
- To operate group chat and direct messaging features, including real-time voice calls.
- To allow branch pastors and administrators to manage their branch community.
- To improve, maintain, and secure the App by analysing usage patterns and error logs.
- To communicate with you about your account, subscription, or support requests.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:

4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers located in the United States (us-central1 region). We apply industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), Firebase Security Rules to restrict database access, and role-based access controls for administrators.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We take reasonable precautions but cannot guarantee absolute security. If you suspect your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at info@eogm.org.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial record-keeping purposes (e.g., payment transaction records, which are retained for 7 years in accordance with Ugandan financial regulations).
Chat messages are stored in Firestore and are deleted when the associated group or conversation is deleted by an administrator, or upon your account deletion request.
6. Push Notifications
With your permission, we send push notifications to your device about new devotionals, sermons, messages, and church announcements. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings (Android: Settings → Apps → EOGM → Notifications; iOS: Settings → Notifications → EOGM). Disabling notifications does not affect your ability to use the App.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@eogm.org and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: request that we delete your account and personal data.
- Portability: request your data in a portable format.
- Objection: object to certain types of processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@eogm.org. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from within the App ( Profile → Settings → Delete Account) or by emailing info@eogm.org. Upon deletion, your profile, messages, and personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Active subscription status is managed by Pesapal; cancelling your subscription is separate from deleting your account.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
